Arbee Associates Employee Spotlight: Kelly Hancock, Director of Special Projects
What do you enjoy most about working at Arbee Associates?
I enjoy the team culture. We are all committed to providing our clients with a great experience. While our experience and knowledge levels are different, we learn from one another. This allows us to provide our clients with something new and exciting, exceeding their expectations. Arbee Associates is not only a family-friendly company, we are dogfriendly. I love having Clarence as our mascot.
What has been your favorite project or most memorable client experience?
It is hard to pick one project. Every project is different. With the difference comes new challenges and, at heart, I am a problem solver. The challenges tap my creativity and it is rewarding when it works and all comes together.
If you could switch your job with anyone else at Arbee Associates, whose job would you want? Why?
Again, it is somewhat difficult to select one job because all of the positions within the organization are vital to our success. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work in several areas. I started as a sales administrator and every time I wanted to try something new the leadership team always gave me an opportunity. This change and advancement has made my experience at Arbee Associates fulfilling. If I could pick a new role, I think I would want to continue to expand my interface with clients, maybe create a role that would allow me to collect client feedback and find new ways to improve overall performance and efficiency. I love working with flowcharts and data. Or maybe there is a future job as a Client Concierge.
Do you pile or file at work? Explain.
SCAN! I am on the move constantly so I prefer to scan documents and file electronically. If there is paper – it is usually piled until I scan it. I am a proponent of a paperless environment. It works for me and is good for the world.
Name (3) words to describe you.
Commitment. Accountable. Resourceful… or CAR. I guess that explains why I am so driven.
What is your favorite lunch time meal during the work week?
I love lunch – but I am a creature of habit. Nothing beats 2 slices of pepperoni pizza from Giuseppe’s.
What is one movie, music cd or book that inspires you to do great things?
I am a history buff. If asked what other profession I might have chosen, I would say Historian. I am drawn to biographies of people who have made their mark in the world. The field they were successful in doesn’t really matter. There are always obstacles and challenges, even failures, they have endured. I find inspiration in their journeys.
What is the one thing that you most want clients to know about working with you and Arbee Associates?
We are committed to their success.
